The Artist
Uriel Ortiz
Uriel was born in Mexico and moved to the United States when he was just one year old. His passion for art began at a young age, but it wasn't until high school that he decided to pursue a career in this field. In 2016, Uriel graduated from the Art Institute with a bachelor's degree in illustration.
After college, Uriel worked as a scenic sculptor for about four years, where he contributed to the creation of large signage, trademark sculptures, and faux rock sculptures for water parks. In 2020, he started an apprenticeship in tattooing and began working as a walk-in artist in 2021.
Currently, Uriel focuses on becoming a versatile artist capable of adapting to various styles. He takes pleasure in tattooing traditional, neo-traditional, color, black and grey, illustrative, anime, and realism.
In his free time, Uriel enjoys spending moments at home with his wife and dogs. When he is not creating art, he loves playing video games and watching anime and movies.

Aftercare
Proper tattoo aftercare is crucial for the health and longevity of your tattoo
Since aftercare can vary from person to person, Uriel is here to assist you in understanding what to expect and how to manage any special situations. Should you encounter any issues, don’t hesitate to call Uriel with your questions.
The final appearance of your tattoo largely depends on the care it receives from YOU during the first few weeks. Follow these steps carefully for optimal healing:
-
Always wash your hands before touching your new tattoo.
-
Remove the Saniderm wrap after 3-5 days, or up to 6 days if comfortable.
-
Remove the guard if: 1. Outer water or dirt enters the guard. 2. It causes excessive redness or irritation.
-
After removing the guard, clean the tattoo using single-use pump soap (such as Dial), and water. (Avoid bar soap!)
-
Gently blot dry with a clean, dry towel and allow the tattoo to air dry, then apply a thin layer of dye-free, perfume-free (UNSCENTED) lotion, such as Curel or Lubriderm, and apply as needed (DO NOT allow the tattoo to dry out!).
-
Wash your tattoo for two weeks after you get the tattoo. Afterward, you can switch to just moisturizing.
-
Your tattoo may start to peel, resembling a sunburn, within 3 to 4 days. This is completely normal, so don’t be alarmed!
-
Avoid exposing your tattoo to sunlight for at least 30 days. Refrain from swimming or soaking your new tattoo until it is fully healed (approximately 30 days).
Your skin is an organ. Remember to properly hydrate and moisturize.
